Contaminated air is sucked into the inlet in the bottom section of the assembled unit (1) and passes through the first pre-filter (2) where most of the oil particles are trapped. The pre-filter becomes saturated with the oil, which is drained into a collection tray and then passes out to a return oil tank with a return oil pump (8). The air then proceeds through a second pre-filter (3) where any remaining large particles are filtered out before it proceeds through the Absolute filter (4). The air is then sucked up through the fan (5). The air is then usually clean enough to be returned directly to the premises (9).
